Insitu has a need immediate need for an Accountant 1. This role will be supporting the accounting team and will be responsible for:

  • Perform general accounting functions.
  • Prepare routine balance sheet, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements and other routine accounting schedules and basic financial reports.
  • Mark identified accounting records for retention.
  • Monitor cost classification system and assists in validating inputs.
  • Perform checks to verify straightforward contracts are within negotiated and agreedupon parameters and cost control guidelines.
  • Participate in internal audits.
  • Review current contract costs and assists in estimating future costs and margins.
  • Participate in forecasting profit and loss and balance sheet elements.
  • Research and prepares responses to routine accounting related inquiries.

Education & Experience:

  • 0-2 years with Bachelor’s degree or comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of how to implement/maintain/document effective internal controls and processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with accounting system requirements.
  • Ability to identify and resolve accounting system issues.
  • Ability to support internal/external auditors and aid implementation and problem resolution.
  • Ability to support development and deployment of accounting systems and tools.
