JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seekingan Accountant who will be supporting day-to-day accounting. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager.
A summary of the key responsibilities and requirements are as follows:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financeor equivalent with minimum 3 years of experience in similar capacity, preferably with audit experience.
- Knowledgeable in accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit and taxation.
- Proficiency in relevantaccounting software and MS office applications.
- Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multi-task and meet tightdeadlines.
- Unquestioned integrity and high standardsin the work you do.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proficiency and effectiveness in managing day to day operations of the Finance team, the full spectrum of the accounting functions (AP, AR, GL) to ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory, monthly management reporting and consolidation.
- Ensure completion of statutory accounts,financial statements, taxation,and other compliance matters of assigned entities within timeline.
- Working closely with Operation team to ensure accuracy of data, smooth operations, and timely escalations of issues to the Finance Manager.
- Manage and controlall receivables and payables in a timelyand effective manner.
- Manage, improve and developfinancial accounts procedures and administration in compliance with company’s policies.
- Contributes to the safeguarding of company assets through the maintenance of appropriate controls while supporting the Finance Manager in the determination of appropriate accounting treatment for various situations.
- Work with external auditorsto ensure smoothaudit closing. Assist for the preparation of audit related schedules and documentation.
- Assist Finance Manager in annual budgetingand financial forecasts. Produce periodic and on-demand management information.
- Any other adhoc duties assignedwhen appropriate.
