Description:

ACCOUNTING FUNCTION:

  • Encompasses full spectrum of accounting activities
  • Has hands-on experience on Accounts Payable function including invoice posting and payment posting.
  • Handling staff claim, including reviewing and posting and payroll related posting
  • Managing Fixed asset and lease asset, including budget monitoring, capitalization, monthly depreciation and disposal.
  • Ensure inventory write down policy and process properly carried out, post necessary journal adjustment with necessary approvals.
  • Prepare month-end/quarter-end/year-end journal entries and supporting reconciliations and tackle problems in day-to-day work
  • Perform monthly checks on various divisional Sales, Purchases and Inventory and upload the relevant transactions to accounting system and reconcile between Business System and Accounting System
  • Organize and work closely with Accounts Executives and the Business Units key personnel ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, half yearly, yearly financial statements using SAP FICO to stake holders
  • Prepare internal management reporting and group financial reporting and its supporting analysis for management review and to handle queries from management.
  • Cooperate between head office finance and accounting departments related to consolidated financial closing package
  • Prepare timely sub reports/schedules/supporting workings in order to complete HQ reporting package on monthly basis and monthly balance sheet schedules
  • Check divisional inventory write down proposal before handing over to their sales coordinator for execution; thereafter do the final check after the actual write down exercise is being carried out and ensure all documentation and necessary approvals are obtained
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and activities of the accounting team such as banking matters, accounts receivable, accounts payable, SST, inventory, fixed assets, to ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Preferred to having prior experience in handling Malaysia accounting, SST and corporate income tax.
  • Any ad-hoc assignments and projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Diploma / Degree in Accounting / ACCA qualification (not mandatory)
  • 3-4 years hands on in similar job scope
  • Proficient in MS Excel and SAP
