This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire entry-level Accountant role based in Columbia, South Carolina. Your responsibilities in this role
- Executing other related duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
- Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit
- Log data
- Analyzing and adjusting account discrepancies
- Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
- Detailed and have the ability work independently
- Strong familiarity with benefits payroll
- Knowledge of Automated Payroll
- Excel Formulas experience desired
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- 1 year of accounting experience
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
- High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
- AA degree or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
