We are now looking for an Accountant to join our General Accounting and Entity Close team. By joining us you would have a great opportunity to work with professionals in our global community.
The team is located in Vaasa, Finalnd and we are focusing on global processes and solutions related to general accounting and closing processes. We are part of Wärtsilä Shared Service Center (WSSC), supporting the Wärtsilä companies in financial accounting and other operational tasks and acts as a gatekeeper to ensure compliance. WSSC is striving for harmonized one global Wärtsilä way of working worldwide with high quality, timely, effective, and efficient processes. WSSC is sharing best practices and knowledge with focus on continuous development and operational excellence.

REQUIREMENTS /QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. Degree, preferably in Finance and Accounting
• Good financial and accounting knowledge
• Good SAP skills, especially in FICO FI module is an advantage
• Excellent skills in English
• Advanced MS Excel skills

• Responsible for Treasury accounting in Parent Company as well as supporting all Wärtsilä network companies in treasury accounting process
• Handle controlling tasks to secure data quality before executing daily and month-end accounting runs from Treasury Management System (Quantum) to SAP
• Handle daily accounting tasks in related to Treasury accounting, e.g. bank statement postings, monitoring and clearing of accounts
• Taking care of all closing activities related to treasury accounting, support in IG matching, Smartclose activities etc.
• Actively keeping contact with Treasury back and front office, as well as Treasury controller and other parties
• Supporting in other tasks related to general accounting and entity close processes
• Participate in our S4 Hana journey by supporting the Treasury controller in testing, data migration and validation. This work will partially require working from Helsinki office
