Description:

We’re looking for Accountant candidates who create spreadsheets in their sleep, and are looking to find their places in the accounting field. Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Accountant with a highly successful organization. This position’s duties will include reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component. An Excel enthusiast interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation will thrive in this entry-level position. This opportunity is for a long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position and is located in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
  • Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
  • Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Input data
  • Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Researching and rectifying account discrepancies
  • High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Onsite
  • Great Plains (GPAC) experience highly preferred
  • Adeptness in HealthCare.gov
  • Journal entries experience
  • Bank reconciliations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Planning Processes
  • Invoice experience desired
  • Practical knowledge of Enter Invoices
  • General familiarity with health insurance
  • Integration experience highly desired
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • At minimum, 1 year of relevant accounting experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
  • Applicants with an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business are recommended for this position
