QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship such as Industrial Business Management Assistant, Tax Assistant or comparable qualification suitable for the mentioned tasks
  • Practical accounting knowledge (1-3 years of experience)
  • Experience in an ERP system and/or DATEV
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Proficiency with the MS Office package
  • High sense of responsibility for your area/projects combined with an impeccable work ethic and high level of commitment
  • Conscientious, thorough, and independent approach to work
  • Full working proficiency in German and good English skills

Responsibilities:

  • manage the day-to-day accounting tasks (such as general ledger and fixed assets) whilst keeping an eye on critical timelines
  • manage accounts payable and accounts receivable in an efficient and timely manner
  • review and submit employee travel expense reports
  • act as the first point of contact handling any inquiries from employees or suppliers regarding invoices and other related matters
  • create payment runs from SAP independently
  • help department heads create comparisons between their targeted and actual results
  • prepare the advance VAT return
  • assist in putting together monthly and quarterly financial statements, as well as the annual financial statements
  • work closely with our HR Department to coordinate quarterly and annual costs to be reported to our Headquarters
  • assist in the preparation for internal audits
