ABOUT YOU:
- Knowledge of current accounting practices
- Completion of relevant tertiary qualifications
- Computer literacy with an ability to analyse, interpret, and prepare reports and management information
- Basic to intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications
This position is ideal for a recent university leaver with some postgraduate or undergraduate accounting experience, who is now seeking to pursue their career within an international corporation offering diverse opportunities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and are required to hold and maintain AGSVAR security clearance at the required level.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing a wide range of accounting activities including:
- month-end closing
- balance sheet reconciliations
- management reporting and variance analysis
- overhead budgeting and forecasting
- audit support
- analysing and troubleshooting complex accounting issues
- Support the Project Finance function on calculations and financial modelling to support customer invoices
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (face to face and virtual) to understand customer needs, provide value added support, maintain positive customer relationships, and provide advice on accounting issues
- Support project financial performance internally, including program reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and cash flow management
