ABOUT YOU:

  • Knowledge of current accounting practices
  • Completion of relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Computer literacy with an ability to analyse, interpret, and prepare reports and management information
  • Basic to intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications
    This position is ideal for a recent university leaver with some postgraduate or undergraduate accounting experience, who is now seeking to pursue their career within an international corporation offering diverse opportunities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and are required to hold and maintain AGSVAR security clearance at the required level.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing a wide range of accounting activities including:
  • month-end closing
  • balance sheet reconciliations
  • management reporting and variance analysis
  • overhead budgeting and forecasting
  • audit support
  • analysing and troubleshooting complex accounting issues
  • Support the Project Finance function on calculations and financial modelling to support customer invoices
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (face to face and virtual) to understand customer needs, provide value added support, maintain positive customer relationships, and provide advice on accounting issues
  • Support project financial performance internally, including program reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and cash flow management
