Description:

Assisting with all management reporting elements as well as assist with transactional accounting when needed

Position Objective:
As an Accountant the primary objective will be to deliver effective and efficient administration services to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. By achieving work plan goals and meeting Key Performance Indicators, you will play a crucial role in contributing to their company’s success and fulfilling our mission as outlined in the Corporate Business Plan.

Duties:

  • Prepare and post standard monthly journal entries, including payroll entries and associated payments.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations for AUD, USD, and EUR accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports for monthly review meetings and as required.
  • Complete monthly payroll tax and assist with annual FBT calculations.
  • Perform GL reconciliations and Excise Returns.
  • Assist in the preparation of the budget and review of standard cost Labor and overhead rates.
  • Aid in the analysis of sales margin reporting.
  • Assist with insurance renewals and claims.
  • Support audit program activities.
  • Serve as a backup to other roles within the Finance Department and provide cross-training
  • Undertake other accounting and general corporate management tasks as required.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:

  • Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or similar qualification.
  • An understanding of ERP systems and familiarity with financial management systems.
  • Detailed understanding of Microsoft software programs.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Insightful team player with a commitment to excellence.
