Description:

Our client, located in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, has an immediate opening for an Accountant to join their team working in a hybrid work model out of their corporate office. This role is a multi-faceted opportunity where hard work is rewarded. In this role, you would be in charge of assisting with the monthly close process, including the preparation of account reconciliations, journal entries and financial reporting.You will work under the leadership of an accomplished Controller who will provide you direction and mentor you on new tasks. - Managing all financial transactions, with a focus on bank reconciliations and general ledger entries - Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports - Ensuring timely payment of bills and regulatory filings - Conducting auditing tasks, managing tax payments, and streamlining budget processes - Evaluating financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues, and strategize solutions to enhance operational efficiency - Verifying accuracy of financial data to ensure finance integrity and compliance with regulatory standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance - Proven experience as an Accountant, ideally in a non-profit environment - Comprehensive knowledge of accounting regulations and practices - Extensive experience in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software - Strong ethics, accuracy, and efficiency in handling financial data - Exceptional time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently
