Responsibilities:
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES THAT WILL HELP YOU EXCEL IN THIS ROLE:
As the hotel accountant, you will be responsible for performing and managing all day-to-day finance duties for two regional hotels (responsibility to be determined by the current and prevailing regional finance team). You will also be the go-to person for payroll related queries.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR NEW ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:
- Previous experience in a hotel accounting environment is highly regarded with minimum 3-5 years’ experience
- Experience with hotel PMS (RMS/HIRUM) and Trust Accounting knowledge is preferable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines under minimum supervision
- Team player and positive work attitude with high attention to detail
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field
- Strong financial systems and excel skills
- Strong financial accounting experience with an excellent grasp of accounting standards
- Hands on experience in small to medium-sized finance team also beneficial
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Manage hotel accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Run daily credit card reconciliation and bank reconciliation
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly audit requirement is fulfilled
- Prepare hotel cashflow forecast
- Review payroll and oversee payroll compliance
- Prepare and complete monthly forecasting
- Prepare and complete BAS, Payroll Tax, and other hotel statutory requirements
- Prepare and process month-end including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare half year and yearend reporting and annual budgeting
- Assist with maintenance and implementation of hotel internal systems
- Participate internal and external audit process
- Prepare financial analysis as requested by Directors
- Perform any other duties that are directed by the Regional FC
- Performance reporting, including engaging with key business stakeholders
