Responsibilities:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES THAT WILL HELP YOU EXCEL IN THIS ROLE:

As the hotel accountant, you will be responsible for performing and managing all day-to-day finance duties for two regional hotels (responsibility to be determined by the current and prevailing regional finance team). You will also be the go-to person for payroll related queries.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR NEW ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:

  • Previous experience in a hotel accounting environment is highly regarded with minimum 3-5 years’ experience
  • Experience with hotel PMS (RMS/HIRUM) and Trust Accounting knowledge is preferable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines under minimum supervision
  • Team player and positive work attitude with high attention to detail
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field
  • Strong financial systems and excel skills
  • Strong financial accounting experience with an excellent grasp of accounting standards
  • Hands on experience in small to medium-sized finance team also beneficial

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Manage hotel accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Run daily credit card reconciliation and bank reconciliation
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly audit requirement is fulfilled
  • Prepare hotel cashflow forecast
  • Review payroll and oversee payroll compliance
  • Prepare and complete monthly forecasting
  • Prepare and complete BAS, Payroll Tax, and other hotel statutory requirements
  • Prepare and process month-end including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare half year and yearend reporting and annual budgeting
  • Assist with maintenance and implementation of hotel internal systems
  • Participate internal and external audit process
  • Prepare financial analysis as requested by Directors
  • Perform any other duties that are directed by the Regional FC
  • Performance reporting, including engaging with key business stakeholders
