We are searching for a diligent Public Senior Accountant to join our team in Plano, Texas. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our company, with a focus on managing accruals, preparing financial statements, and tracking journal entries. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

• Manage the process of accruals and ensure all financial records are up to date
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements for review
• Conduct detailed tracking and investigation of journal entries to validate their legitimacy
• Resolve any accounting issues that arise, providing effective problem-solving techniques
• Leverage your expertise in Microsoft Excel and other related software such as PeopleSoft and Essbase to streamline accounting functions
• Conduct variance analysis to identify financial performance trends
• Use templates efficiently to present financial data
• Account for fixed assets and depreciation within the company
• Ensure all accounting practices adhere to regulatory standards and company policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must for data analysis and financial modeling
• Experience with Journal Entries for proper record-keeping and ensuring financial transactions are accurately reflected
• Knowledge of standard Accounting Practices and principles to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Ability to perform Variance Analysis to identify and explain financial performance discrepancies
• Familiarity with Templates for consistent and efficient financial reporting
• Experience with asset Replacement accounting for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial statements
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft for efficient and effective financial management
• Understanding of Accruals accounting for accurate representation of financial health
• Ability to Prepare Financial Statements for internal and external reporting requirements
• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting to ensure proper tracking and depreciation of company assets
• Proficiency in using Essbase for financial data analysis and reporting
• Broad understanding of various Accounting Functions to ensure all financial aspects are handled correctly.
