Job Description:
Accounting Analyst
Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly close process, including preparing and booking journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist with bank account clearing and reconciliation.
Support quarterly/yearly closes and preparation of management reports.
Provide support gathering evidence for external audit testing for various regions (Asia Pac, EMEA and NA).
Maintain Fixed Asset Records, including but not limited to, depreciation, schedules and reconciliation of the fixed asset module to the general ledger.
Review and reconcile local book fixed asset ledgers maintained by service providers to FAM on a quarterly basis.
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
Coordinate/complete mandatory business survey questionaries from various government agencies (i.e. Statistics Canada, US Census Bureau).
Assist with ad hoc inquires and requests.
Recommends accounting process improvements for efficiency, as necessary.
Requirements:
Require a minimum 3 years of experience in accounting.
Knowledge of NetSuite ERP System.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting field.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
Excellent in organizing, planning and time management skills and able to multi-task.
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Able to work extended hours through critical periods to meet deadlines (i.e. quarter-ends).
