Description:
Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a dynamic company. As the Accounting Assistant you will provide daily support to the finance and accounting departments with bookkeeping and accounting tasks. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for reconciling bank records, drafting financial documents, invoicing customers, and collecting payments. If you have a high level of attention to accuracy and detail, then this is the Accounting Assistant opportunity for you!
Major responsibilities
- Assist with administrative duties as necessary
- Communicate with clients via phone and email as necessary
- Responsible for organizing the bookkeeping processes of the company
- Track expenses and evaluate financial budgets
- Work with incoming and outgoing funds to reconcile financial books
- Collaborate with the Accounting team by creating and editing financial documents
- Own daily accounting duties such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll, payroll tax filings, booking journal entries, reconciling credit card and bank account
- Must be detail-oriented and have critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in written and verbal communication, as well as strong time management abilities
- Bookkeeping experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet and reporting applications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study preferred
