    Our Firm is currently looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team. Are you the type of person that color codes your family budget or calendar? Are your pens all arranged in a specific aesthetical order? Can you put down a project and pick it back up later without missing a beat? If so, James Moore has an opportunity for you! This position is responsible for the accurate input of data in various accounting software, including Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, Intacct, and MAS 90/Sage. Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable responsibilities including charging expenses to accounts, recording entries, processing checks, resolving purchase order or invoice discrepancies, verifying vendor accounts, and similar functions.
  • Recording of deposits and accounts receivables.
  • Imports of data into software.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Creates data directories/subdirectories for file and report generation retrieval purposes.
  • Maintains electronic files of entered data.
  • Reviews discrepancies in data received from clients and requests clarification or advises supervisor of issues related to data.
  • Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data flow and makes recommendations for improvement or enhancement to job processes to ensure standards in data entry, collection and retrieval.
