Description:

There is an opening for an Accounting Clerk through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Modesto, California area. Thrive in an energetic, team-oriented environment in this position, which offers room for growth. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
  • Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
  • Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
  • Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
  • Upload financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
  • Data entry experience
  • Deep understanding of 10 Key Skills
  • Bank reconciliations experience
  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
  • Experience with Basic Bookkeeping
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
