Description:

Do you wish you were employed at a well-respected and expanding organization as an Accounting Clerk Support a department within a company in the Government industry as an Accounting Clerk through this employment opportunity offered at Robert Half. The Accounting Clerk responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). What you get to do every single day

  • Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
  • Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources
  • Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
  • Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
  • See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
  • Bank reconciliations experience
  • Proficiency in Audit Compliance
  • Solid understanding of data entry
