This reputable business needs someone to handle full-cycle accounts payable, maintaining financial filing systems, reconciling statements and preparing various month-end reports in support of the accounting team. Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU GET TO DO EVERY SINGLE DAY:
- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP)
- Assist with general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
- Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
- Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources
- Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers
- Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned
- Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
The salary range for this role is $50,000-$65,000. This role is an hourly position, eligible for overtime. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision Insurances, Life and AD& D insurances, 401k w/ a 3% match, 52 hours of PTO in the first year (increases with tenure), 6 paid holidays and birthday pay/day off after the first year.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) required.
- Adeptness in journal entries
- Accounting operations experience
- Data entry experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of reconciliations
- General ledger experience
- Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system preferred
- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred, but not require
