Description:

Robert Half is looking for a skilled candidate to join a team as an Accounting Clerk. In this position as an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary position based in the Henderson, Nevada area.

  • Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
  • Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
  • Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
  • Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources
  • Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
  • General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
  • Expertise in Code Invoices
  • Weekly Payroll experience
  • Well-founded grasp of garnishments payroll
  • Experience with benefits payroll
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Sage 100
  • General familiarity with payroll for under 100 employees
  • Proven knowledge of Local Payroll Tax
  • Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Deep understanding of Check Runs
  • Outstanding data entry skills
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Ability to multitask effectively
