Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. They oversee and support the administration and financial operations of multiple subsidiaries, ensuring efficiency, growth, and financial stability. The ideal candidate is an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company and its subsidiaries. You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial records, conducting bookkeeping tasks, and supporting our accounting department in ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This position offers a blend of routine accounting responsibilities and project-based work, providing comprehensive exposure to the financial management of a multi-faceted organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for the holding company and its subsidiaries.
  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to, processing invoices, tracking receivables and payables, and managing expense reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting policies, procedures, and improvements to financial processes.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
