Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller

Are you a talented Accounting Manager? You might be the candidate Robert Half is looking for to work with a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. Some general duties include leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. This position is for candidates with the ability to create and monitor the company’s accounting and finance operations. Located in the Dallas, Texas area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
• Play key role in implementation of NetSuite Financials including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
• Encourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are met
• Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
• Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
• Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
• Recent relevant financial experience
• General familiarity with Cash Flow Forecasts
• Quality experience with journal entries
• Microsoft Word experience
• Well-founded grasp of payroll
• Practical knowledge of Financial Statement
• Foundational knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Command of Microsoft Excel
• Proven knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Earlier work involving account reconciliation
• Wide ranging experience with auditing
• Experience with RealPage
• Comprehensive knowledge of Yardi
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
• Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
• Solid technology and analytical abilities
