Description:

To ensure all accounting entries within the individual’s area of control are recorded in an accurate and timely manner. This involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders. Furthermore, financial reporting will extend to forecasts, budgets, together with ad-hoc financial analysis. This will require the management of a small team and to demonstrate influencing skills with business management and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS: -

  • University degree with a recognized accounting qualification.
  • Qualified CIMA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 years + accounting experience.
  • Proficient user of excel.
  • People supervision experience and skills.
  • Good commercial experience.
  • Good at using ERP and other IT systems (Oracle, Hyperion).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for ensuring the team prepared all accounting entries accurately and in line with corporate deadlines.
  • Ensure results are accurately reported and analyzed.
  • Effective management of a small team.
  • Manage the team, making sure everything is reviewed prior to sharing with stakeholders.
  • Providing analysis of P/L Variance, like SG&A and Indirect cost, and margins for month end review.
  • Preparation of annual budget and quarterly reforecast.
  • Responsibility for compliance with Financial Management Framework within the individual’s sphere of control.
  • Responsibility for ensuring the team focus on cash collection, optimization of DSO and minimization of unbilled items together with ensuring these balance sheet areas are appropriately reconciled, analyzed and controlled by the team.
  • Liaising with external, internal and client auditors.
  • Ensure all government survey are completed when due.
  • Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as and when required.
