Description:
Robert Half is actively recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager/ Controller Consultant for our large publicly traded client to help integrate a newly acquired privately held business in Riverside, CA. This role will be onsite 5 days /week.
The consultant’s primary responsibilities will be performing an opening balance sheet review and ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and timely, complete month end close processes, reduce the close process to the corporate standard of 2 days. In addition, the consultant will implement Sarbanes Oxley controls which includes documenting internal control narratives.
SKILLS:
- Large public company experience with deep SOX experience required
- Large ERP preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills required
- Must be able to work independently
- Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) experience preferred
- Month end closings experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of SOX
- 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
- Solid technology and analytical abilities
- Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
