Description:
Robert Half is working with a construction company who is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join the team based in Tenino, Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a range of accounting functions, from accounts payable and receivable, auditing, billing, to full cycle accounting. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of job cost accounting, accrual accounting, and the ability to prepare financial statements. This is a permanent opportunity and will be fully on-site in the Tenino, WA area.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a range of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications and maintain precise customer credit records.
- Conduct regular auditing and prepare financial statements to ensure financial transparency and compliance.
- Handle all billing functions and ensure the accuracy of all journal entries.
- Lead and manage job cost and cost accounting tasks, ensuring a thorough understanding of job cost accounting.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage credit facilities, ensuring the company’s financial operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Execute full cycle accounting, maintaining an accurate record of all financial transactions.
- Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments, ensuring the company’s financial stability.
- Work with the external CPA on year-end and tax-related activities.
