Accounting Manager

We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team in Gainesville, Florida. This role is crucial in our accounting department, where you will be handling the month-end close and audit preparation. This role is part of the healthcare industry, and you will be working in a dynamic environment that relies heavily on Excel for day-to-day operations. This is a short term contract employment opportunity (1-2) months and this role will be based onsite.

• Accuracy of all accounting and financial data
• Oversee the accounting department - supervisory skills
• Support with month-end close processes
• Assist with upcoming audit requests and other accounting responsibilities
• Use Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning effectively in daily tasks
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) effectively
• Use Excel for nested formulas, lookups, and conditional formatting effectively.

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting management role
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Expertise in managing Accounting Functions
• Must have experience in Auditing
• Must possess strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
