Description:

Robert Half has partnered with a growing hospitality company in Raleigh that is hiring an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and experience in the hospitality sector. The position entails overseeing accounting operations for multiple hospitality properties, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This onsite position offers a competitive base salary, an annual incentive program, growth potential and full benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Review reports from properties for accuracy
  • Manage daily deposit and credit card transmissions
  • Prepare general ledger entries and monthly financial statements.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Calculate and prepare monthly sales taxes
  • Review Accounts Receivable aging reports.
  • Accounts Payable check run and review all Accounts Payable for posting.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Month End Close, Monthly Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, Financial Statement Preparation, Journal Entries, Sales Tax, Property Accounting, Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Demonstrable experience with auditing, month end close, and monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger management.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Ability to make journal entries as per company policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Sales Tax and Property Accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
