Description:
As an Accounting Officer, you’ll support financial operations by auditing, monitoring accounts, and maintaining records. You’ll also assist with ledger maintenance, financial statement prep, audits, expense management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance within the company processes and regulations.
- Conduct audit checks on company assets
- Assist in general ledger maintenance, bank statement reconciliation, and journal entry recording.
- Support financial statement preparation and compile reports for management review.
- Prepare analysis of budget vs actual variances
- Review and reconcile filing of Quarterly VAT returns
- Prepare documentary requirements and process VAT refund claim.
- Ensure compliance with PEZA/BIR/SEC/BOI
- Assist in year-end audit by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Assist in drafting policies and processes to ensure efficient workflow
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- At least 4 years of experience in Regulatory reporting and compliance (PEZA, BIR, SEC, BOI)
- Knowledgeable in payroll processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
