Our Financial Management Division, Travel and Disbursement Unit is searching for someone who can perform accounting duties establishing and maintaining accounts and records while working in a team environment with departmental systems and central fiscal control activities.

As a Disbursement Specialist, you will:

  • Use the Financial Information System for California (FI$CAL) to process daily and monthly payments and refunds.
  • Processes daily and monthly agency ORF checks.
  • Enters chart of accounts, supplier, and payment amount information.
  • Processes employee Business Traveler Account requests from employees.
  • Backup for the Department Travel Liaison.

This position’s office headquarters location is designated in Sacramento. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
