SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business, Accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years related experience in a similar role.
  • Must have previous Payroll administration experience.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and possesses strong attention to detail.
  • Conduct yourself with utmost integrity, and have a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (ie. Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with QuickBooks is an asset.
  • Other related financial and accounting experience an asset.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Vitacore is seeking a highly organized Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join the growing Accounting team! As a hands-on member reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting financial operations and the day-to-day administration of the business. In addition, you will be responsible for payroll administration and oversee all payroll functionalities. Experience with Payworks is an asset!
You are detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines, and familiar with the intricacies of a project-based work environment. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are able to explain accounting processes and concepts in simplified terms when needed. You thrive in a team environment and operate with a sense of urgency while keeping aligned with the broader goals of the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounting functionalities such as preparing journal entries, managing AR and AP, and other related responsibilities.
  • Oversee and be responsible for Payroll functionalities.
  • Experience with Payworks is highly desired!
  • Assisting to ensure timely and accurate collection of receivables from customers.
  • Ensure accurate and proper recording of supplier invoices and purchase orders for customer billing and proper vendor invoice process.
  • Simple account reconciliation.
  • Follow-up and collect paperwork from various sources for proper documentation of accounting transactions.
  • Providing general accounting support.
