Description:

Digify is a cloud-based document security and data room software that allows customers to control, protect and track important documents after sharing them. Companies use Digify to protect confidential information for fundraising and due diligence, secure intellectual property, and protect sensitive communications.
Digify is used in 138 countries today. We have more than 500,000 users worldwide.
We are looking for a meticulous and highly organised Accounting Specialist with at least 3 years of full set accounting experience and exposure to the SaaS industry. Working with our SG and US accounting firms, he/she will be put in charge of the accounting for both our SG and US entities. This role requires very good English communication skills (written and verbal) in order to work effectively with external partners as well as the internal billing team. This role will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with our fractional CFO.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Accounting.
  • At least 3 years for Bachelor degree holders, or 5 years for diploma holders, of full set accounting experience, preferably in the cloud-based SaaS industry.
  • Familiarity with the Singapore accounting standards, including deferred revenue accounting. Experience with the US accounting standards is of advantage.
  • Proactive, clear and efficient communication in English (written and verbal).
  • Tech savvy, familiar with Quickbooks Online, Gmail, G-Suite and Microsoft Excel. Preference is given for strong working knowledge in Microsoft Excel functions such as pivot table and vlookup.
  • Quick learner for new tools and platforms. Experience with Chargebee, Stripe and Paypal is of advantage.
  • Positive attitude, independent, meticulous, efficient and highly organized, can multi-task and take initiatives to improve and automate existing processes.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Honest and trustworthy, can be trusted with confidential information.
  • Part-time 3 to 4 days a week

Responsibilities:

  • Book and file expense invoices according to cost centers.
  • Support and liaise with US and SG accounting firms to ensure compliance and accuracy in books and monthly and annual consolidated management reports.
  • Provide supporting documents for schedules and maintain accounting schedules.
  • Manage depreciations.
  • Amortize expenses.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
  • Cash Management : Monitor bank accounts for account balance, offline payments and fixed deposits renewal.
  • Quarterly GST filing.
  • Accounts Payable : Booking of online payments and preparing fund transfer for offline payments.
  • Prepare quarterly intercompany cost splits and manage fixed deposit investments.
  • Work with the internal billing team for invoice related matters.
  • Retrieve financial reports for management and investors, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
  • Handle any other financial work as assigned by the Manager.
  • Work scope will be expanded to take more responsibility if works full time.
