Accounting Supervisor

Robert Half is partnering with a local organization to hire an Accounting Supervisor. We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing our accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in support of the project accounting teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience and a strong leadership background in addition to knowledge of a construction or service-related industry. This opportunity is located in Harrisburg and offers a strong benefits package.

Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, addressing any billing discrepancies.
Implement and improve expense tracking systems and processes.
Manage the accounts receivable process, including accurate and timely invoicing.
Monitor customer payments and collections, resolving outstanding issues.
Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records of receivables.
Collaborate with project and service teams to provide financial support and analysis.
Help in project costing and budget tracking.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a background in the service industry.
Leadership experience, including the ability to manage and develop a team.
Knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
