Job Description

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration required.
  • At least seven (7) years of related work experience.

Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for performing professional accounting duties of a moderately complex nature in support of various accounting functions while supervisiong 3-4 staff accountants. This person will plan and coordinate activites and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of output and resolution of problems.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries for multiple entities.
  • Prepare complex account reconciliations by analyzing the effect of transactions and verifying the accounting treatment.
  • Review account reconciliations prepared by staff and assist with the training and improvement of account reconciliations.
  • Conduct preliminary financial statement review and analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Assist with the coordination of the annual financial audit.
  • Coordinate and prepare financial statements for statutory audits.
  • Facilitate monthly P&L reviews with Corporate function leads.
  • Coordinate process improvements and the documentation of those processes.
  • Oversee and support asset management.
