THE OPPORTUNITY:

Unex Systems is seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator/ Bookkeeper to join their team in Hamilton on a part-time basis (20-30hours a week).

The purpose of the role is to support with operational and financial administration across the business, some main responsibilities are listed below:

  • Oversee all administrative and financial functions, including customer and supplier accounts, and credit control.
  • Manage accounts payable, including handling GST, RWT payments, etc.
  • Generate customer invoices and statements using the ERP system.
  • Assist the Finance & Operations Manager with inventory management and maintaining product records in the ERP system.
  • Provide general administrative support, including procurement, timesheet administration, and other tasks to ensure smooth business operations.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Desirable)
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
