YOUR BACKGROUND
We are looking for tenured Assistant Accountants or Bookkeepers who have worked in a project-related industry before.
You will have/be:
- At least 5 years of accounting experience. This will include AR, AP, Payroll and project invoicing.
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work autonomously in a small office
- A problem solver
- Someone with a calm, friendly disposition who is happy to help out wherever the team needs!
If you have worked in construction and/or have Xero experience the client may be able to stretch the salary for the perfect person!

Responsibilities:
This Accounts role has a broad range of tasks. They can add more or less to create either a full-time or part-time role. This could be three to five days a week.
Tasks may include:
- Track project-specific costs and produce detailed budget reports
- Handle project progress claims and determine the percentage of work completed
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Review invoices and purchase orders and make timely paymentsReconcile financial statements and bank accounts
- Work alongside the Director, Operations Manager, and Site supervisors to manage costs
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting activitiesPayroll and associated payments
- Ensuring timesheets have all been completed timely
