Description:

BDO Ireland is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. This is a full-time position located at BDO Ireland’s Head Office in Dublin.
The role will involve elements of Accounts Receivable/Cash Management, Practice Management, and Accounts Payable functions, together with general office duties.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable/Cash Management

  • Review and analysis of cash receipts across multiple company bank accounts.
  • Recording and allocation of all debtor/sundry cash receipts.
  • Daily reconciliation of bank accounts.

Practice Management

  • Analysis and recording of client outlays and disbursements.
  • Co-ordination of monthly staff timesheet approval.
  • Preparation of partner information reports.

Accounts Payable

  • Preparation of intercompany bank transfers.
  • Identifying and processing client refunds as required.

General Duties

  • Expenditure variance analysis.
  • Preparation of various general ledger journals.
  • General filing, photocopying, post etc.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proficient IT skills and great knowledge of Microsoft applications in particular Excel.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to agreed reporting timetables.
  • Excellent time management and self-motivation skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify problems and propose solutions in a timely manner.
  • A high level of discretion required.
