Brief Summary :
At Edmund Optics Singapore (EOSG), the Accounts Receivable Associate plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and fostering customer satisfaction. Under the guidance of our Accountant, you will immerse yourself in the core of our operations, managing incoming receipts, resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring prompt payments from our valued clients. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our organization, as you prepare monthly reconciliations and interact closely with our sales and finance teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Possess initiative and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Update cash receipts promptly for EOSG sales division.
  • Prepare and deposit cheques collected into the bank.
  • Monitor debts closely and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Generate reminders and demand letters for overdue customers.
  • Calculate sales commissions for sales agents.
  • Prepare GST output tax information and assist in GST submissions.
  • Create collection listings for cash flow receipt projections.
  • Coordinate with the sales department for timely billing of invoices.
  • Assist the Accountant in annual customer credit and payment term reviews.
  • Handle Taiwan/EOSG offset transactions and contra accounts.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

SECONDARY DUTIES

You will also be responsible for handling and preparing various reports essential to our financial operations, including:

  • Sales commission reports.
  • Maintenance of monthly exchange rate tables.
  • Monthly sales forecast preparation for Sales Director.
  • Maintenance of monthly sales reports for the Sales division.
