Responsibilities:
MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA MAHI | ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for candidates with experience in accounts payable combined with a broad understanding of business practices. A team of four operate very much as a team, not as individuals, to ensure that weekly deadlines are met and accounts are paid within agreed terms of business. This is a fast paced environment demanding full attention to the tasks at hand to ensure 100% accuracy in processing. Experience in dealing with customers is an advantage as there is a need to upskill other staff in purchasing practices and payment options.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $50,700 up to $58,335 (based on 37.5 hours per week), dependent on skills and experience.
The Accounts Payable role is based in our Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Accounts Payable Team lead and will be responsible for:
- Processing payments through the matching of approved purchase orders as well as one-off payments.
- Preparing online banking for approval.
- Maintaining supplier masterfile records.
- Encouraging staff to use purchase orders as our preferred method of authorisation, and continually closing off purchase orders that are no longer required.
