Description:

Robert Half is in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing field. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing industry. Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

How you will make an impact

  • Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
  • Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
  • Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
  • Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
  • Execute full-cycle A/P
  • Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
  • Execute additional tasks as needed
  • Foundational knowledge in Concur Expense
  • Adeptness in Process Payments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Reconcile Vendor Statements experience highly desired
  • Strong familiarity with expense reports
  • Expense Account experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
  • Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
  • Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
