Description:
Robert Half is doing the hiring process for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a rapidly-expanding company. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments. Based out of the Miami, Florida area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening.
Responsibilities
- Handle the full-cycle A/P process
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Prior experience in an A/P is a MUST
Account reconciliation experience
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
