Description:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the hospitality industry, based in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves maintaining accurate records of accounts payable, reconciling accounts with invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports, and issuing payments on account. The individual will also interact with various departments to ensure the proper approval of all invoices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a paperless accounts payable system, including the collection, auditing, and posting of invoices.
  • Issue and track purchase orders for operating departments.
  • Work directly with departments to ensure the proper approval of all invoices.
  • Prepare accurate weekly cash flow reports.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card billing.
  • Compile and maintain credit applications for vendors.
  • Ensure sales tax is properly recorded for all purchases.
  • Interact with the management team and vendors/contractors to assist with meeting department goals.
  • Reconcile inventory purchases for specific departments.
  • Undertake any other job tasks/projects as needed.
  • Must have a deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is highly desirable
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulatory standards is necessary
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of accounts payable.
