Description:

Introduction:
We are currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Officer for an recognised commercial organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a positive and eager Accounts Payable Officer to join this business on a permanent basis. The role will involve Accounts Payable duties including entering invoices, matching to purchase orders, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, reporting and assisting with system integrity. The company is based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
This role reports to the Financial Controller and the Accountant.

Your responsibilities:

  • Entering invoices in the system
  • Processing invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reviewing accounts payable entries to ensure all data are entered correctly
  • Initiating new suppliers and adding them on the system
  • Investigating and reconciling creditor accounts for discrepancies
  • Managing direct debit for utilities accounts
  • Assisting clients with accounts payable related queries
  • Other administration & accounts duties where required

What experience will you have:

  • 3+ years experience within an accounts payable role
  • Analytic approach, problem solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with large data sets on Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is preferred
  • Having a proactive and steady approach
