Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing outsourced shared services and handling important operational finance tasks. You will be responsible for analysing AP balances, ageing, and action plans, producing monthly reports that drive decision-making. Your role will also involve managing working capital, reviewing and approving SAP payment runs, supporting customer rebate payments, and forecasting USD cash for supplier payments. You will also handle debt collection requests from suppliers and manage relationships with service providers. Your ability to perform root cause analysis will be key in identifying issues and finding solutions.

  • Act as a Purchase to Payment expert resource, providing training for the local market and analysing PO structure for simplification.
  • Analyse AP (balance/ageing/Action plan) and produce monthly reports.
  • Perform root cause analysis to understand issues and identify solutions.
  • Assist with managing working capital, particularly through ensuring timely GR’s (working with buyers).
  • Review and approve SAP payment run.
  • Support preparation of Customer rebate payments.
  • Forecast USD cash for USD supplier payments to assist in USD hedging contracts.
  • Handle debt collection requests from suppliers (coordinate with buyers).
  • Manage the JDE/IBM relationship including KPI Analysis, regular calls, problem solving in the relationship.

The ideal Accounts Payable Officer brings a wealth of experience in accounts payable processing and has a good understanding of purchase orders and the buying process, preferably within SAP. She possesses excellent communication skills, being able to express herself clearly and concisely in both spoken and written English. Experience working with remote partners and reconciliation skills are also key to this role. She has system training experience, preferably in accounts payable and purchasing, and intermediate Excel skills.

  • Experience in Accounts Payable processing is essential.
  • Good understanding of Purchase Orders & buying process, preferably in SAP.
  • Ability to express self clearly and concisely in both spoken and written English.
  • Experience working with remote partners is beneficial.
  • Reconciliation skills are necessary.
  • System training experience, preferably in Accounts payable & purchasing.
  • Intermediate Excel skills are required
