Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Based in our offices in Christchurch (Hornby), we have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our talented and close-knit Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for a variety of accounting and administration tasks relating to the efficient and effective processing of accounting transactions in addition to administering employee expense claims and company credit card reconciliations. The role requires a high standard of accuracy and timeliness and will also be expected to look for and drive improvement opportunities in existing processes and focus on maximising the effective utilisation of all relevant systems.
MORE SPECIFICALLY, AS THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OFFICER, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:-
- Processing and reconciling invoices and creditor statements
- Liaising with all departments regarding invoices and invoice requirements etc
- Preparing creditor payment runs with appropriate reconciliation and reporting
- Ensuring invoice compliance with associated internal policies and procedures
- Monitoring, reporting on and following up overdue invoices
- Loading new and maintaining existing vendors details
- Processing international money transfers
- Monitoring daily accruals
- A range of additional accounts tasks as required in a large complex business
