BreatheSafe are a proud Australian company that strives to develop, manufacture and sell world leading dust control and air quality solutions to any industry that is exposed to dust or airborne contaminant, both locally and internationally. As we expand our operations both nationally and internationally, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process using Xero software. The ideal candidate will ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner, maintain vendor relationships, and assist with various accounting tasks to support the finance team.
This position offers a 9-day fortnight schedule, with a rostered day off (RDO) every second Friday, along with the flexibility to work from home on the Fridays when you are scheduled to work.
Hours are negotiable to suit work/life balance with some WFH when needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and enter invoices into Xero accurately and promptly.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices and statements.
  • Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records.
  • Generate reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Maintain vendor files and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes.
  • Support the finance team with additional accounting tasks as needed.
