As we expand our operations both nationally and internationally, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process using Xero software. The ideal candidate will ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner, maintain vendor relationships, and assist with various accounting tasks to support the finance team.
This position offers a 9-day fortnight schedule, with a rostered day off (RDO) every second Friday, along with the flexibility to work from home on the Fridays when you are scheduled to work.
Hours are negotiable to suit work/life balance with some WFH when needed
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and enter invoices into Xero accurately and promptly.
- Verify and reconcile invoices and statements.
- Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records.
- Generate reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Maintain vendor files and manage relationships with vendors.
- Assist with month-end closing processes.
- Support the finance team with additional accounting tasks as needed.
