Accounts Payable Specialist

Robert Half is working with a construction industry client that needs an AP Specialist. This is a contract role with the possibility of going contract to hire and is an in person role at their Bellevue office. • Manage full-cycle accounts payable operations
• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payments promptly
• Review and verify statements, expenses, and vouchers
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files
• Liaise with suppliers and in-house teams to resolve any discrepancies with invoices
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and cheque payments
• Participate in the month-end closing process
• Generate financial reports and statements to management
• Implement and maintain organizational and accounting procedures and policies
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Proven working experience as an accounts payable specialist
• Proficiency in any major accounting software
• Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Strong analytical abilities and aptitude for problem-solving
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures
