Accounts Payable Specialist

Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Plymouth based client. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding, approval, and documentation.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice inquiries and payment status.
Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
Maintain accurate and organized vendor files and records.
Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or relevant accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
