THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an accomplished Supervisor to join our Finance team as part of our financial services business in Montreal.

The Maples Accounts Payable team supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of Accounts Assistants spread across two different jurisdictions (Cayman & Montreal) that are responsible for the AP of several offices globally. The primary focus of this role will be to supervise the team’s day-today performance, ensuring deliverables are met within standard SLA times.

Areas of focus include: AP processing and queries, bank requisitions, data accuracy, UAT testing, project management, training, coaching and escalation management. The accounts payable supervisor will report directly to the Finance Shared Services Manager and will be responsible for enforcing the policies, processes and procedures set forth by the business. As a part of team, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for employee queries;
  • Oversee day-to-day tasks, assign duties & delegate responsibilities to staff;
  • Manage employee time, workflow & deliverables;
  • Timely escalation of issues to the Finance Shared Services Manager;
  • Oversee management multiple accounts payable inboxes;
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis;
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects;
  • Train employees;
  • Assists with monthly closing process;
  • Review of the AP ledger to ensure payables are not exceeding 30 days;
  • Supervision of the daily AP process which includes;
  • Progress of in AP mailbox and AP folder in our shared folder storage;
  • Ensure all invoices have appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment setup;
  • Overview of daily payment run and payment setup;
  • Supervises the check disbursements, mailing, file storage, and document retention.
