Accounts Receivable Analyst

We are in the pharmaceutical industry, located in Parsippany, New Jersey, and we’re offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Analyst. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, responsible for managing and executing various accounting and financial tasks, with a focus on accounts receivable functions.

• Analyze and process customer credit applications through accounting software systems and ERP solutions
• Maintain and update customer credit records in Great Plains (GPAC) and IBM AS/400 systems
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and organize data related to accounting functions
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) operations, ensuring all invoices and payments are processed in a timely manner
• Handle billing functions, issue invoices, and follow up on pending payments
• Monitor and record cash activity, ensuring all transactions are accurately reflected in the accounts
• Process checks and other forms of payment, reconciling them with the corresponding invoices
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable
• Implement strategies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounts receivable processes
• Adhere to all company policies and industry regulations regarding financial transactions and record keeping.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ERP Solutions
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Knowledge of IBM AS/400
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Billing Functions
• Familiarity with Cash Activity
• Experience in Check Processing
