Purpose
The Group Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee Accor Apartments & Realty’s Shared Services Accounts Receivable function which is responsible for accurate & timely invoicing, collection, payment application and reporting within a Central Reservation System. The Group Accounts Receivable Manager will report to the Financial Controller Shared Services and be crucial in leading the Accounts Receivable team as well as reviewing processes for improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Receivable team’s tasks & workload on a daily basis, which includes a shared inbox, invoicing, adjustments, collection, payment allocation, credit card chargebacks, property payouts & commission payments
  • Complete a daily review of payments applied to ensure all payments are posted accurately & reconciled to the bank statement
  • Be hands on assisting with Accounts Receivable duties where needed
  • Manage & perform follow-up on aged accounts
  • Provide training and support to the Accounts Receivable Team
  • Produce Accounts Receivable weekly & monthly reports for management
  • Run monthly Credit Meetings, ensuring key stakeholders are informed of any collection issues
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure any issues are quickly resolved, ensuring Shared Services service standards are maintained
  • Review processes from end to end for improvement
  • Monitoring, tracking, and enforcing department policies & procedures. Ensuring all policies & procedures are documented and updated regularly
  • Maintain records and assist with data collection for audit purposes
  • Set department KPI’s & goals and track completion
  • Complete annual Performance Reviews for the Accounts Receivable team
  • Perform other duties as requested

Skills and Experience

  • Accounts Receivable Management experience of 3+ years in a medium to large organisation
  • Experience using a Central Reservation System or working in a Shared Services environment highly regarded
  • Experience in leading a team, setting & tracking KPI’s/goals
  • Experience implementing process improvement
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Superb time management and high attention to detail
  • Skilled with MS Office, intermediate level of Excel skills, comfortable using formula’s and reconciling large volumes of data
  • Familiar with contract language and analysis
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and month end processes
