The Julie Andrews Vascular Unit at St Peters Hospital are seeking to appoint a qualified Vascular Scientist to join our friendly team of qualified and trainee vascular scientists. Ideally we are looking for an experienced Vascular Scientist with SVT accreditation and able to work autonomously, however, someone with less experience would be considered as full training can be provided. The post holder will be required to work across sites providing a varied and stimulating workload.
You will work closely with 4 Consultant Vascular Surgeons and support staff to provide a full range of non-invasive investigations. This includes carotid artery duplex, upper and lower limb arterial and venous duplex, aortic aneurysm and EVAR surveillance, pre-operative vein marking and ultrasound guidance in theatre for venous ablation procedures. Training will be given where necessary.
We are a small team with a reputation within the trust for providing an excellent service to our patients and referring clinical teams. We enjoy close and positive working relationships with many of our colleagues around the trust including those in Vascular Surgery, Diabetic Foot Clinic, Stroke and Radiology.
